Renowned attorney Gloria Allred has reportedly been hired in the Josh Giddey investigation case. The NBA star had allegedly got involved in an inappropriate relationship with a minor. Giddey became one of the biggest topics in the NBA when his pictures with an underage girl went viral all over social media. Since the scandal was all over the internet, the NBA decided to launch its investigation to collect more information.
While earlier there were reports that the minor and her family weren’t cooperative with the officials, new reports by TMZ suggest that the family has appointed Gloria Allred. The reports further suggest that Allred could be tasked with liaising with the cops as well as talking to Giddey and her associates for a statement.
Giddey addresses the allegations
TMZ quoted the senior attorney as saying, "We represent the family and we have no comment." Earlier, the 21-year-old also refused to say anything about the allegations, stating, "Yeah, I mean, I understand the question, obviously. But there’s no further comment right now." He added, "I get the question guys. I completely understand you guys want to know about it. But just for right now, I don’t have anything to say."
Gidey was the No. 6 overall pick in the 2021 draft and was named to the All-Rookie second team in the 2021-2022 season. During the previous season, he averaged 16.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 6.2 assists. On the other hand, the young NBA star had an average of 19.4 points for the Australia team that went 3-2.
