The final franchise for Skyesports Masters, India's largest gaming competition, has been announced as Velocity Gaming, the Hyderabad-based esports organisation known for its success in the PC esports arena. It is to be noted that the Skyesports Masters is India’s first-ever franchised esports league.


The eight clubs will battle in a double round-robin format over several weeks from July 8 to August 17 during the League Stage. Only the top four, will be allowed to advance to the Playoffs, which will take place as an on-ground competition on August 26 and 27 to determine the winners of the first Skyesports Masters.


The official Skyesports handle took to Twitter to announce Velocity Gaming as the final franchise for the coveted Skyesports Masters. The company wrote,”🎉✨ The moment has arrived as the curtains part to reveal the 8th and final team joining the Skyesports Masters! 🎭🚀 With an unwavering spirit and an incredible track record, Team Velocity Gaming 🎮💪, the legends of Indian Esports, step onto the battlefield ready to conquer!


Velocity Gaming announce seven-member squad for Skyesports Masters


The eighth and final team for the Skyesports Masters have also announced their seven member team for the event. The team will consist of the following:

Players scouted from the Skyesports Masters Café qualifications make up the majority of the lineup. The RDX team that triumphed in the Kolkata café qualifier was purchased by Velocity Gaming. The café qualifications are a grassroots Skyesports project that took place across 20 cities in the nation to promote CS: GO and find promising new players.
