Former India cricketer Vinod Kambli, who made it to the headlines due to his health, was hospitalised after his medical conditions deteriorated. Kambli was recently spotted in a public event, along with his childhood friend and India great Sachin Tendulkar, leaving fans emotional and concerned about his health. As per recent glimpses of the batter surfacing on the social media, Kambli has been hospitalised and is currently being monitored in a medical facility. 

According to IANS, the 52-year-old was admitted at Akriti Hospital in Thane, and was rushed there on Saturday night. It is to be noted that Kambli has had multiple health issues over the years. As per latest developments, the former cricketer is now stable but under expert surveillance as he is critical. Glimpses from Kambli being hospitalised were shared by IANS, with the caption, “Cricketer Vinod Kambli's condition deteriorated again, leading to his admission at Akriti Hospital in Thane late Saturday night. His condition is now stable but remains critical.”

The former cricketer, who is often regarded as one of the best batters of his time, recently accepted financial assistance from the 1983 World Cup winning team. Earlier, former Indian captain Kapil Dev offered financial assistance to Kambli, along with his teammates. Kambli, accepted the help and said that he is ready to go to the rehab for the 15th time. He said,  "[Sunil] Gavaskar was the first to react (to the offer made by Kapil Dev). Sure, I have no hesitation (to enter rehab), because until I have my family with me, I'm not afraid of anything, anybody. I will complete it and return. I will come back.”

He had earlier spoken about his health and said, "I am better now. My wife takes care of me a lot. She took me to 3 different hospitals and told me 'You have to get fit'. Ajay Jadeja also came to visit me. It felt nice. I was suffering from a urine problem. It was just flowing. My son, Jesus Cristiano, picked me up and brought me back to my feet. My daughter, who is 10 years old, and my wife came to help me.”
