Former Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram joked with his fellow commentators about Australian’s inability to pronounce the name ‘Fakhar’ correctly. Later, he also taught his Australian co-commentator the right pronunciation, while sharing a funny anecdote about his wife Shaniera. Akram was commentating on the third and final Test between Australia and Pakistan at the SCG, where he joked about how Australians cannot pronounce the name ‘Fakhar’ correctly.
During the match, Akram challenged the two co-commentators to pronounce the name of Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman. While one commentator was able to do it easily, the other one refused to attempt. Later, Akram also shared an anecdote and told how his wife Shaniera Akram faced the same issue for almost two years after she moved to Pakistan. Not only this, but the commentators also revealed how Mark Waugh used to struggle while pronouncing the name.
I wish to meet your parents: Akram schools young fan for calling his wife hot
The Pakistan cricket stalwart schooled a young fan after he called his wife Shaniera hot. Akram had posted a picture with his wife on Instagram wishing fans on new year. He captioned the picture, “Here’s hoping for a better year! Wishing you and your families all the love, safety and prosperity for 2024, all the best from my family to yours.”
The 57-year-old seemed to have lost his cool after a fan made a downgrading comment on his wife. Akram furiously replied to his fan, “You think that’s the appropriate thing to say? I wish to meet your parents and tell them what have they created total douche.”
