Arjun Tendulkar played his fourth IPL match on Tuesday, April 26 against defending champions Gujarat Titans. He walked into bat in the 18th over when Mumbai Indians required 73 runs to win off just 17 deliveries. This was the first time Arjun was batting in the IPL and fans absolutely loved his big hit.
Talking about the game, Gujarat Titans registered a huge total of 207 runs as Shubman Gill, David Miller, and Abhinav Manohar created havoc at the Narendra Modi Stadium. While chasing the target, Mumbai Indians wickets kept falling apart from Cameron Green and Nehal Wadhera. GT bowlers Noor Ahmad, Rashid Khan, and Mohit Sharma combined for seven of the nine wickets.
Arjun played the first five deliveries of his innings calmly and took five singles. On the next ball, Mohit Sharma bowled a short delivery and Arjun smoked the ball for a six over deep square leg. A Tendulkar had hit a six in the IPL after almost ten years.

Fans were quick to compare the glorious shot with Sachin Tendulkar’s batting. It was an emotional moment for the fans seeing a player named Tendulkar hitting a six in the IPL.
Arjun Tendulkar has been impressive in the IPL so far apart from that one over against Punjab Kings. He has picked up three wickets in the four games he has played. He has bowled a total of just 9.5 overs in the IPL till now at an economy of 9.35.
Mumbai Indians have had a rough tournament for their standards till now. They faced their fourth defeat of their campaign from seven games on Tuesday, April 25. They are placed at the seventh position in the points table and they will have to win at least five games from seven matches in order to ensure a direct qualification in the playoffs.
