Ahead of the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), defending champions and the record five-time champions, Chennai Super Kings on Saturday, February 17 unveiled their brand-new jersey. However, the MS Dhoni-led side had named Gulf carrier Etihad Airways as their official sponsor for the upcoming edition, the franchise took to social media, to unveil the new jersey.
Speaking of the revamped jersey, the yellow colour have been accompanied by camouflage strips on both sides, honouring the Indian army for their tribute for the country. Moreover, the jersey also sports the five stars, emphasizing on the five IPL titles they have added to their decorated cabinet under MS Dhoni’s leadership. Taking to Instagram, CSK shared a story captioning, “Decode, Decide, Dress Up, Click the link in bio and Pre-Order the 2024 Match Jersey”, as they also announced the pre-orders.
CSK to begin IPL 2024 against Royal Challengers Bangalore
According to reports, the 17th edition of IPL I likely to start from March 22, 2024. However, the complete schedule of the upcoming edition is likely to be announced before February 23, the tournament I anticipated to commence just in a week’s time after the conclusion of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024.
If reports are to be believed further, the defending champions, MS Dhoni-led CSK will open the tournament against Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, more clarity around it is likely to come out soon as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announces the schedule of the tournament.
