The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes has vowed to “hit back” The Rock on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw after getting slapped across the face at the WWE WrestleMania press conference last weekend. On Thursday, February 8, Cody Rhodes challenged Roman Reigns for his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania, which led to his clash with The Rock.
At the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Cody Rhodes addressed the fallout from the WWE WrestleMania press conference, which had ended in a skirmish involving him, Roman Reigns, and The Rock, but, fortunately, the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins took his side to even the odds. Rhodes spoke about how he never said anything to defile Rock’s ancestors, and despite that, he decided to slap him in public.
Cody Rhodes remarked that the pairing of The Rock and Roman Reigns, two of the biggest superstars in WWE history, are the perfect storm. Then, he stated that since The Rock decided to lay his hands on him, he is going to hit him back.
Seth Rollins wants to be “The Shield” to Cody Rhodes in The Bloodline fight
After Cody Rhodes cut a scathing promo against Roman Reigns and The Rock, the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins made his way down to the ring on WWE Raw. The Architect cut an emotional promo of his own, wherein he spoke about wanting to be “The Shield” to Cody Rhodes in his fight against The Bloodline faction.
Earlier, Cody Rhodes had also thanked Seth Rollins for having his back during the WWE WrestleMania press conference last weekend.
