Cristiano Ronaldo once again etched his name in history books as he surpassed the tally of Gerd Muller's 144 goals during Al Nassr's 4-1 win over US Monastir in Arab Club Champions Cup on Tuesday. The Portuguese international, who started the comeback surpassed the tally of highest ever headed goals in the game with a 74th minute scorer to take his side to their first win in the tournament in the ongoing season.
Ronaldo stepped up the scoring giving his side a 2-1 lead in the 74th minute, just eight minutes after US Monastir levelled the scoreline. With this record-breaking stunner, Ronaldo upped his career goal to 839 as the King Fahd International Stadium erupted in cheer.

Soon after this the momentum was all in Al Nassr's favour as two quick goals which came in a gap of two minutes from Abdulelah Al-Amri and Abdulaziz Saud Al Elewai helped the Saudi side seal the match.
With this win, Al Nassr went on the top of its Group in the King Salman Club Cup, coming in level with Al Shabad. However, the Cristiano's side is still ahead on the basis of goal difference. On the other hand, Monastir dropped to the bottom of the points table and is the only team without a single point in the table.
While the yellow side will play Zamalek SC on Thursday in what is the last group-stage match, US Monastir will lock horns with AL Shabad.
