David Onama, the American MMA fighter, also known as the "Silent Assassin," knocked out Gabriel Santos of Brazil at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. After scoring a vicious TKO in the second round of the contest, the 29-year-old athlete basked in glory with the iconic archer celebration of the UFC Middleweight champion Israel "Stylebender" Adesanya.
On June 24, Saturday night, during the preliminary card of the UFC Jacksonville, in the featherweight division, Gabriel Santos had a bright start in the first round as he laid into the American with his grappling exploits. David Onama was astute in his defence on the ground, but he predominantly looked second-best in the opening exchanges.
But, in the second round, the Silent Assassin managed to pull himself together and started to assert his dominance over the Brazilian MMA fighter. Onama landed a couple of accurate punches on Santos before knocking him out with a vicious right uppercut. He also followed it up with a plethora of shots as the 26-year-old fell to the canvas, which gave the referee no choice but to put a stop to the contest at 4:13 minutes. Seconds later, David Onama proceeded to enjoy the win with the full Stylebender celebration, made famous by Israel Adesanya.

Notably, the Nigerian-New Zealand fighter knocked out his arch-rival Alex Pereira in April to become the two-time middleweight champion at UFC 287. After losing his last three fights against the 35-year-old Brazilian across all competitions, Adesanya bounced back this time and delivered a pair of brutal right hands that knocked Pereira out cold.
Moreover, in the main event of the UFC Jacksonville, the undefeated featherweight fighter Ilia Topurai of Georgia battered Josh Emmett of the USA in their fight to the finish, lasting for 25 minutes, winning it via unanimous decision. Also, in the co-main event from the women’s flyweight division, the American Maycee Barber was able to knock out Amanda Ribas of Brazil in the second round at 3:42 minutes.
