On August 27, Sunday, Dennis Schroder shared a beautiful moment with his son on camera, after guiding Germany to their second consecutive win in Group E of the FIBA Basketball World Cup in Okinawa City, Japan. At the Okinawa Arena, the back-and-forth contest produced a lot of thrilling moments for the fans, but in the end, the Germans prevailed against Australia with a margin of 85-82.

Notably, the first quarter of the Group E match was the closest among both teams, ending with a 25-24 scoreline in favor of the Aussies. But, then, Germany got the better of their opponents in an emphatic manner in the second quarter by 25-19. Australia made an epic comeback in the third quarter with a 22-13 scoreline, taking the lead in the match. This led to the Germans firing back with the match winning the final quarter with a margin of 23-16.

In the post-match proceedings, Dennis Schroder was spotted approaching his son, who was watching him play live and in person, from the grandstand at the Okinawa Arena. The official Twitter account of FIBA Basketball shared the video of the moment, wherein the German player was spotted saying to his son, “You just gotta keep going.”

The chief contributor in the Germany win was also Dennis Schroder, who scored 30 points (10 out of 19 while shooting), along with eight assists, one rebound, and four steals. He was ably supported by Maodo Lo with 20 points, including one assist and one rebound.

For Australia, Patty Mills was the top scorer, putting together 21 points, including six assists and five rebounds. His partner in crime, Josh Giddey got 17 points, with three assists and one rebound.
