Team India notched up a thrilling last-over win against Australia on October 17 (Monday) at The Gabba, Brisbane. A brilliant batting display from Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul capped with last-over heroics from Mohammed Shami with the ball sealed the deal for Men in Blue ahead of the T20 World Cup opener against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 23 in Melbourne.
While there were a couple of noteworthy performances from both sides in the game, an incident involving Dinesh Karthik, R Ashwin and Virat Kohli hogged a lot of limelight on social media. As per the video, which is going viral on social media, Dinesh Karthik was heard interacting in Tamil with Indian offspinner R Ashwin.
Karthik was spotted speaking in the Tamil language during the 9th over of the game as R Ashwin came to bowl the over while Steve Smith and Aaron Finch were on the crease. The wicketkeeper batter was also heard lauding Virat Kohli for his quick fielding in the middle by saying, "Va va va va Virat."

Listening to DK speaking in Tamil, commentator Sunil Gavaskar recalled how MS Dhoni used to speak in Hindi when passing instructions to players from behind the stumps which he could understand. However, he couldn't get was Karthik was trying to say.
Speaking of the game, Team India got off to a flying start as KL Rahul (57 off 33) and Rohit Sharma (15 off 14) added 78 runs for the first wicket, followed by a terrific knock from Suryakumar Yadav (50 off 33) to guide India to 186/7 in the 1st innings. In response, Aaron Finch-led Australia started their run-chase brilliantly as Mitchell Marsh (35 off 18) and Aaron Finch (76 off 54) stitched 41 runs for the first wicket.
Despite losing wickets in quick intervals, Australia were superb in the run chase and they needed just 11 runs off the last over. Much to everyone's surprise Rohit Sharma asked Mohammed Shami to bowl the final over who successfully defended the total.
Shami, who was bowling his first over of the match, surprised the host with his incredible bowling as he picked 3 wickets and assisted a run-out while conceding just 4 runs in the over. Notably, Shami returned to the T20 international set up after a long gap and joined the Indian camp as a replacement for injured Jasprit Bumrah.
