After a massive brawl that broke out during the Golden State Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves game in the 2023 NBA In-Season Tournament on Tuesday night, November 14, Wolves center Rudy Gobert blasted Warriors star Draymond Green, who was ejected for putting Gobert in a chokehold, for his "clown behavior". Recently, the four-time NBA champions with the Warriors responded to Gobert's comments.
During the November 14 clash, Warriors guard Klay Thompson was involved in a heated altercation with Wolves forward Jaden McDaniels, which led to multiple ejections in the starting two minutes of the game. Following a pulling and shoving between Klay and Jaden, Draymond Green put Rudy Gobert, who was trying to separate the two, in a chokehold.
In a post-match interview, the French center called out Green's "clown behavior," and claimed that the Warriors center intentionally got ejected as Stephen Curry wasn't playing the game. Gobert said, “It’s kind of funny because before the game, I was telling myself that Steph is not playing, so I know Draymond is going to try and get ejected. Because every time Steph doesn’t play, he doesn’t want to play. He’ll do anything he can to get ejected.”
Recently, Green was asked about his past scuffles with Gobert and whether he saw his comments after the whole tussle. Green responded, "It's 2023 and you see everything these days. What's my comment about what he said." After having a long silence with a straight face, Green said, "No comment is a comment, right?"

Gobert and Green have a long-standing feud between them as the 7-foot-1 center took a jibe at the Warriors center after he punched his former teammate Jordan Poole in practice as Gobert wrote on X, "Insecurity is always loud." However, Green took his revenge by tweeting the same quote after Gobert's altercation with teammate Kyle Anderson during the Wolves' final regular season game in the 2022-23 season.
