Ahead of Caitlin Clark's first preseason WNBA game with the Indiana Fever on Friday in Dallas, the 2024 WNBA Drafts No. 1 pick was involved in a night-time photo shoot for the franchise. During the photo shoot, Fever stars Erica Wheeler and NaLyssa Smith let Clark borrow their chains for the shoot at the Indiana streets.
Clark will begin her WNBA career with the Indiana Fever after being picked No. 1 in the 2024 WNBA drafts. The Fever will travel to Dallas for their first preseason game ahead of the 2024-25 season against the Dallas Wings at the College Park Center.
The Indiana Fever squad gathered for an introduction video shoot in downtown Indiana on Wednesday night. During the shoot, the Fever stars including the 2019 WNBA All-Star MVP, Erica Wheeler, and NaLyssa Smith bonded with their new teammate Caitlin Clark, who is the NCAA women's points leader of all time. The two Fever stars gave their chairs to Clark for the shoot.

Caitlin Clark reflects on travel safety with Indiana Fever via commercial flights
While Clark used to fly in charter flights with the IOWA Hawkeyes, the WNBA uses commercial flights for travel purposes due to financial reasons. On the security concerns, Clark said, "The Fever organization has done a really good job getting out ahead of things. There's gonna be a lot of security traveling with us. There will be certain plans of how we're going to navigate going through airports and things like that. It's not just for us; it's for everybody in the WNBA. Everybody is dealing with the same thing.
"The Fever organization has a really great plan in place to keep everybody safe and keep things moving along as we're traveling. The popularity of our league is continuing to grow ... that's a positive thing, too; you want people to be excited about our game."
