Barcelona teenage midfielder Gavi has signed a contract extension with the LaLiga giants until June 2026 on Wednesday. After his contract renewal, the 18-year-old headed towards the Camp Nou store to interact with the Blaugrana fans, where he received another present.
The new contract of Gavi include a release clause of €1 billion. A statement from Barcelona read: “Barcelona and the player Pablo Paez Gavira, ‘Gavi’, have reached an agreement to extend his contract to 30 June 2026. The buy out clause is set at 1 billion euros.”
After his contract renewal, Gavi interacted with fans at the Camp Nou store, where he signed jerseys, flags and took pictures with fans. However, a female fan offered a piece of paper to Gavi, which seems to be a contact number, before getting a picture with the teenage sensation.

Last season, Gavi made a total of 47 appearances for club and country and also scored two goals. He is also expected to be the part of Luis Enrique's Spain for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022.
Meanwhile, Barcelona faced a 2-0 UCL group stage defeat by the hands of Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich on Wednesday and are currently on the second spot in Group C behind the German club.
