Team India completed the proceedings of the Super 12 stage on a high as Suryakumar Yadav's brilliant batting and incredible bowling helped the side to clinch the match against Zimbabwe at Melbourne Cricket Ground on November 6 (Sunday) by 71 runs. Rohit Sharma & Co. continued their rich form in the ICC tournament as they dominated their last league match.
With that win, Indian players gave a nice treat to all its cricket fans who have been following the side in every game they have played in Australia. Meanwhile, a cricket fan carrying an Indian flag intruded on the ground during the second innings of the India versus Zimbabwe match before he was overpowered by the security guards.
However, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma soon intervened in the matter to check the well-being of the Indian cricket fan as he was escorted out of the ground.

Speaking of the game, India batted first and had an unlikely start as Rohit Sharma failed once again to score big but KL Rahul (51 off 35), Suryakumar Yadav (61 off 25) batted brilliantly to accelerate India to 186-5.
In response, Indian bowlers rose to the occasion as veteran offspinner R Ashwin picked three wickets, while Hardik Pandya and Md. Shami bagged two wickets each. Team India will now play England in the second semi-final match at Adelaide Oval in Adelaide.
Meanwhile, Pakistan is another team from Group 2 which has qualified for the semi-finals after South Africa suffered a shocking defeat against the Netherlands. Babar Azam-led side will now be against New Zealand in the first semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022.
