After a thrilling start to Sunday’s double-header in IPL 2024 which saw Rajasthan Royals (RR) register a 20-run win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, the action shifted to the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where the Gujarat Titans are taking on the five-time champions in Mumbai Indians.

Both sides took the field with new captains at their helm. While Shubman Gill took over the reins for the Gujarat-based outfit after Hardik Pandya’s trade to MI, the Mumbai Indians are being led by Hardik, who replaced Rohit Sharma, one of the most successful captains of the side.
But as the two skippers took the field for the toss, former GT skipper, Hardik Pandya did not get the welcome he had expected. In return, the fans present at the Narendra Modi Stadium booed at the Indian all-rounder, video of which is going viral on social media.

With the five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians taking the field for the first time in IPL 2024, fans flooded the Narendra Modi Stadium with “Rohit…Rohit” chants. In videos going viral, as fans formed queue to enter the stadium, there were praises for India skipper Rohit Sharma.
