Virat Kohli, the former Indian captain, is one of the most sought after players in world cricket, attracting insane levels of attention from his fans wherever he goes. During a practice session in the nets in Perth ahead of the upcoming five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) Test series, when Virat Kohli was sweating it out with the bat in hand, his fans climbed a tree to catch a glimpse of him before he takes the field at the Optus Stadium in over a week’s time.

Notably, the first Test of the five-match series between Australia and India will begin on November 22, and the visitors have their task cut after succumbing to a humiliating defeat at home against New Zealand in three-match Test series 0-3. Virat Kohli’s returns in the series were poor, scoring just 93 runs at 15.50 average despite a 70 in one of the innings in the first Test in Bengaluru.

Virat Kohli is currently struggling for runs in Tests, but his record in Australia is exceptional

After arriving on the Australian shores a few days ago, Virat Kohli has been practising hard in the nets, to give himself the best chance to regain his vintage batting form, which will bode well for India in the next couple of months. In one of the clips from the practice session posted by Fox Cricket, the fans could be seen trying to watch him go about his business from wherever they can, including some of them climbing on the tree.

They captioned the post, “First look at Virat Kohli at the Perth nets ahead of the Test series opener. Some fans went the extra mile to catch a glimpse of the King.” Moreover, since the amount of hard work behind the scenes isn’t quite translating into the success for Virat Kohli on the field recently, it will be interesting to see whether he will change his approach in any way, shape, or form come the first Test in Perth later this month.

Virat Kohli has an exceptional batting record against Australia in Tests in their own conditions, which will come in handy for him in regards to attain success once more down under.
