Vinod Kambli, the former Indian cricketer, was spotted struggling to walk in a viral video on the social media platform X, bringing to light his serious health concerns once again. The 52-year-old was trying to stand on his own two feet with the help of a bike before a few good people came around to ensure that he safely reached his destination.
Known for his record-breaking 664-run partnership alongside Sachin Tendulkar in a school match, Vinod Kambli was touted as one of the brightest young talents in Indian cricket during his early days. He went on to play only 17 Tests and 104 ODIs in his international career, but the issues with form and fitness led to his early downfall in the sport.
After the end of his playing days in cricket, the health of Vinod Kambli deteriorated steadily, suffering a heart attack in 2013, while driving back home from Chembur. His life was saved by a police officer, who rushed him to Lilavati Hospital just in the nick of time.
The recent viral video of Vinod Kambli on the social media platform X is another example of how much he is struggling in his personal life.
Moreover, some time ago, Vinod Kambli also spoke about his heart problems and depression after his promising cricket career fizzled out in the early 2000s. He has reportedly undergone angioplasty on two blocked arteries in his heart.
