In their second match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 campaign, Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated MumbaI Indians (MI) by a comfortable margin of 36 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. During the highly pulsating clash on Saturday, March 29, the head coach of Gujarat Titans, Ashish Nehra, was spotted giving an animated reaction to one or more players of his team in the field, and the moment has gone viral on the social media platform X.
Notably, the IPL 2025 match belonged to GT as their batters and bowlers stepped-up at different stages of proceedings, and the fielders played their part too. Sai Sudharsan was the top scorer for Gujarat with his 63 off 41, an innings which included four fours and two maximums, while captain Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler scored quick-fire 30s, to play a key role in propelling their score to 196/8 in their allotted overs.

Prasidh Krishna earned player of the match award in GT's win
In the bowling side of things, the pace bowling lineup of GT, coached by Ashish Nehra, was quite exceptional in defending the 196-run total, and Prasidh Krishna received the player of the match award for his figures of 2/18 in four overs. Mohammed Siraj picked up a couple of key wickets in the power play stage, castling openers Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton, while Kagiso Rabada picked up a struggling MI captain Hardik Pandya cheaply.
With that, GT emerged victorious with a big margin, and it was the first win for them in the IPL 2025 season after losing to PBKS at home in their tournament opener earlier in the week. Meanwhile, it also meant that MI have lost both their away games to start the new season of the IPL, and they are one of the two teams still to win a match in the league alongside Rajasthan Royals (RR), as of this writing.
