Hardik Pandya’s rumoured girlfriend Jasmine Walia has been spotted in the stands several times cheering for the star India all-rounder but in a recent development, she was seen getting on Mumbai Indians’ (MI) squad bus. Mumbai played magnificently against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 and won their first game of the tournament by a convincing margin of eight wickets. Bowling first, the five-time champions folded the reigning champions for just 116 in 16.2 overs. Ashwani Kumar, who was playing his maiden IPL match, outclassed KKR batters and also got the player of the match (POTM) award for grabbing 4/24 figures.
During the game, Jasmine registered her presence in the stands to root for MI. Following Mumbai’s extraordinary triumph, she was seen boarding the team’s bus. During the tournament, players’ family members are permitted to be with the squad on the team bus and hotel. In a viral video, Walia can be spotted entering the bus following Deepak Chahar’s wife Jaya Bhardwaj.
MI vanquish KKR in the home game in IPL 2025
After a couple of losses, when MI captain Hardik Pandya attended the toss against his counterpart Ajinkya Rahane, luck favoured the former and he elected to field first. Speedster Deepak Chahar and Trent Boult delivered an ideal start to the team, picking up Kolkata openers Sunil Narine and Quinton de Kock early. Narine became Boult’s victim while Chahar got rid of the Protea batter in the second over of the match.
In the fourth over, Pandya introduced Ashwani Kumar and the pacer bagged Rahane’s scalp on the first delivery of his IPL career. The youngster continued his onslaught on KKR and went on to outclass key batters like Venkatesh Iyer, Rinku Singh, and Andre Russell. Chasing the low target, the hosts lost their veteran opener Rohit Sharma in the sixth over of the match but Ryan Rickelton flexed his muscle and took the team home with his unbeaten 62 off 41. Suryakumar Yadav also struck a rapid 27 off just nine balls.
