The Pakistan cricket team are often criticised for their fielding effort. Not always but their players have showcased some breathtaking effort on the ground over the years to dismiss the claim and to state that they too are good fielders. A similar incident hogged the limelight on Sunday when Harris Rauf surprisingly pulled off an astonishing catch to send South Africa batsman Heinrich Klaasen back to the pavilion.

It happened in the 48th over of the South African innings which was bowled by Shaheen Afridi. The Proteas were firing all cylinders and in a bid to maintain the momentum, Klaasen picked Afridi's full toss from outside the off stump to play a ramp shot and get the ball over the short fine leg, where Harris Rauf was stationed. Rauf poured cold water on Klaasen's effort by grabbing the ball mid-air, executing a stunning catch and eventually cutting short the Protea's cameo.

Here is the video of the catch:

South Africa post 341/6 in 50 overs

South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma scored 92 runs as the side surged to 341/6 in their quota of 50 overs. After the Proteas got an invitation to bat first, Quinton de Kock scored 80 at the top order, Rassie van der Dussen hit a 37-ball 60 at middle while David Miller registered his fastest ODI fifty (27 balls). Harris Rauf was the pick of the bowlers from the Pakistan side with figures of 3/54.
