Romelu Lukaku’s transfer saga has been going on for quite a while now, but now multiple reports have stated that Lukaku’s loan deal with AS Roma has almost been confirmed. Roma fans are ecstatic after hearing the news, and a huge chunk of the fans gathered at the airport to catch a glimpse of the Belgian.
The 30-year-old striker will join the Giallorossi on a €5.8 million loan deal without a permanent clause. In order to expedite the move, he has already agreed to personal terms and is ready to decrease his pay to €7.5 million.
Lukaku and Giallorossi president Dan Friedkin are scheduled to travel to Rome on Tuesday, where they are anticipated to arrive at 17.00 local time. He will then have his medical exam tomorrow before signing his contract. In a viral video posted on Twitter by Jacopo Aliprandi, hundreds of fans can be seen crowding at the airport wearing Roma jerseys and carrying flags.
