American YouTuber and Internet sensation IShowSpeed met his all-time favourite wrestler Rey Mysterio at a WWE Raw event. This is not the first time the teenage content creator met one of his first heroes. Speed, or Darren Watkins, rose to prominence with his hilarious antics and love for sporting personalities including football great Cristiano Ronaldo.
Speed has appeared in several high-profile events in the entertainment and sporting world. Recently, the 19-year-old met wrestling icon Rey Mysterio on April 29, 2024, at the WWE Raw in Kansas City. The content creator, who is quite popular for his loud personality and unique antics, also played a direct role in the events at the show.
His presence at the WWE Draft was advertised with names like Logan Paul and NFL star Patrick Mahomes. One of the funniest moments came when he greeted everyone by barking at them during Logan Paul’s entrance. Not only this, but he also announced the draft picks and revealed that CM Punk and Braun Strowman would stay on the roster.
His encounter with Mysterio was nothing less than heartwarming, as he got completely awestruck upon meeting his hero in person. Not only this, but the Hall of Fame wrestler gifted Speed one of his trademark masks.
