On Day 4 of the ongoing fourth Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), the Indian bowlers went all out, picking nine wickets to restrict Australia at 228/9. However, Nathan Lyon (41) and Scott Boland (10*) stitched a crucial 55-run partnership for the tenth wicket to help the hosts post 333-run lead at Stumps on Day 4.

Although the Indian bowlers picked wickets at crucial intervals as none of the openers could do much with the bat, getting out at the score of 8 (Sam Konstas) and 21 (Usman Khawaja). The middle order batters also didn’t have the best outing, except Marnus Labuschagne, who survived a couple of time before being dismissed by Mohammed Siraj lbw.

With luck favouring him, Marnus Labuschagne survived numerous opportunities in the middle as he came out to bat on Day 4. After Akash Deep edged the batter to slips with Yashasvi Jaiswal failing to hold a catch, Bumrah’s delivery just missed to nip the stumps, helping Marnus survive once again.

Soon after Bumrah’s delivery, the Indian pace spearhead hailed him as the “luckiest” cricketer on the planet. "You're the luckiest player I've ever seen in my life, Marnus,” Bumrah can be heard saying on the stump mic.
