Jimmy Butler-led Miami Heat won both their road games against Boston Celtics to take a 2-0 lead in their NBA Eastern Conference Finals 2022-23. In Game 2, Grant Williams and Butler got involved in a heated on-court exchange as the Celtics forward poked the bear when the home team were in a lead while Miami forward got the last laugh over Williams.

With less than seven minutes remaining in the final quarter, Grant Williams trash-talked to Butler after hitting a three-point shot over the Heat forward. Butler, who smirked at Williams, went on to score an and-1 against the 24-year-old forward leading both players to stand against each other followed by a heated altercation.

When Williams scored the three-pointer in the fourth quarter and fouled Butler on the other end on his made jumper, the score was 87-96 in the Celtics' favor with 6:25 remaining in the fourth quarter. At the end of the game, Miami Heat emerged victorious with 111-105 as they pulled off a 24-9 run after the incident to clinch their second straight road game win against the Celtics.

Talking about the game, Miami led Boston in the first half by four points followed by Celtics dominating 33-21 third quarter to take an eight-point lead with the final quarter remaining. However, the Heat ended the game on a high note as Jimmy Butler scored 27 points and made eight rebounds and six assists followed by Caleb Martin's 25-point game, and Bam Adebayo's spectacular 22 points, 17 rebounds, and nine assists to end the game.

For the Celtics, Jayson Tatum scored game-high 34 points with 13 rebounds and eight assists while Jaylen Brown (16), Malcolm Brogdon (13), and Robert Williams III (13) combined for 42 points. The Celtics will travel to the Miami-Dade Arena to face the Heat in Game 3 on Sunday evening in the NBA Conference Finals 2023.
