In the ongoing second Ashes Test which is underway at the Lord’s Cricket Ground, all possible results are still available. However, with England still needing more than 150 runs at the moment to win this Test and level the series 1-1, the Pat Cummins-led side just needs four wickets to bring in the result in their favour.
However, the final day of the ongoing Test saw a bizarre moment as England wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Bairstow was dismissed despite the ball being declared dead. On the final delivery of the 52 over of the final inning, Bairstow left a short ball off Cameron Green but was quick to step out of the crease before the ball was declared dead.
However, in no time and what can be referred as the presence of mind, Alex Carey, who is keeping the wickets for the Aussies was quick to hit the stumps with the third umpire announcing it as “out”.
