Real Madrid talisman Jude Bellingham shared a hilarious moment before his side's 1-0 victory against Mallorca as the Englishman bumped into his look-alike at the Son Moix. Consolidating their title charge with an eight-point lead over second-placed Barcelona, Madrid pulled off a comfortable victory on the back of an Aurelien Tchouameni strike from 40 yards out just moments into the second half.
Starting with a depleted eleven with key players rested ahead of the all-important second Champions League quarterfinal against Manchester City, the Los Blancos created several chances but converted just one. Bellingham missed the best opportunity in the first half as his shot hit the crossbar.
But before the game, when the Real players were lounging in the dugout, Bellingham saw his doppelganger on the touchline. The 20-year-old chuckled when he saw the look-alike and greeted him with a hug.
Having that advantage is very important: Carlo Ancelotti
After the game, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti spoke about how this victory over Mallorca will be crucial coming into the El-Classico clash against FC Barcelona next week. Speaking in the post-match news conference, Ancelotti expressed, "We're aware of where we are in this moment in La Liga, in the Champions League, each game is like a final."
"Having that advantage is very important ahead of Sunday's game [the Clasico] and that is our objective. I'm very happy, winning here is always difficult. In the second half, we played at a very high level."
