A video has gone viral where Chelsea's new signing Kalidou Koulibaly, who used to wear #26 jersey in Napoli, has expressed his desire to wear the same jersey number for the Blues. Since Chelsea's legend John Terry, nobody has taken the jersey number 26 and the Senegal centre-back has asked Terry for permission to wear his shirt number at the English club.

Chelsea have signed the 31-year-old Senegalese for £33 million transfer fees for a 4-year contract with the club. The defender has already appeared in the Blues jersey in the 3-1 pre-season victory over the Italian side Udinese.

Koulibaly called Terry to ask for his permission to wear his shirt number and the former England footballer's reply is priceless.

Watch the video here:

Terry said, "The 26 was very special to me, I really appreciate you calling. It’s no problem for me for you to take it, absolute pleasure. I wish you well because I know how important the number was for me and I’ve seen you wear 26 as well. My pleasure mate, I give you the 26. No pressure mate. You've got to keep winning trophies for us, okay?"

Fulham-based football club Chelsea will begin their Premier League 2022-23 campaign against Everton in an away game on August 6 at Goodison Park.
