As a result of the alleged accident outside his home in Philadelphia, Kelly Oubre Jr suffered a broken rib, along with injuries to his chest, hip, and leg. Although it was reported that the 76ers guard is set to miss a good chunk of the ongoing NBA season, he is already back with the team as the head coach Nick Nurse gave an update on him and said, "He’s in good spirits. He rode the exercise bike for a little bit. So he’s doing OK."

Adrian Wojnarowski, the Senior NBA Insider for ESPN, gave the latest update on Kelly Oubre Jr's health and said, “Kelly Oubre Jr has been at the Sixers’ facility the last couple of days, started to do some light work, and I’m told that there’s a realistic expectation that he could be back in two-plus weeks. Perhaps the end of November, the beginning of December, I think certainly the bruised ribs, the knee, those are all factors in his recovery.”
