Following the conclusion of the highly successful Bad Blood PLE at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Kevin Owens brutally attacked Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in the backstage area. With hundreds of fans watching close by, Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes were in a heated argument before the Prized Fighter suddenly put his hands on the reigning champion of the world in the WWE, who had no answer to what transpired moments ago.
Fortunately for Cody Rhodes, the WWE officials and security were also nearby, and they managed to get to the scene as quickly as possible, to stop Kevin Owens from inflicting further damage. The relationship between Rhodes and Owens in the lead-up to the backstage attack was far from pleasant with them not being on the same page in battling against the new Bloodline in recent months.

During one of the recent episodes of WWE SmackDown, Apex Predator Randy Orton was playing the role of peacekeeper between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, to delay the inevitable brawl between them, which happened in his absence. Notably, at the Bash in Berlin, Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens in the Undisputed WWE Championship match which the challenger didn’t want in the first place before he was motivated by the champion to take it.
The speculation is running rampant on social media about the exact motivation of Kevin Owens’ brutal attack on Cody Rhodes, and how Randy Orton, who has been one of their best friends in the recent months, is going to respond to it. Furthermore, how will it impact their battle against the new Bloodline, who aren’t going to be pleased themselves either, following their loss against Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns in the main event of the Bad Blood PLE earlier in the night.
