The league stage of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 is done and dusted and the Qualifier is underway at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans are battling it out for a spot in the summit clash. Sultans’ captain, Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and decided to bat first. The captain backed his decision by forming a half-century partnership with Usman Khan.
However, Qalandars also kept striking at regular intervals but only to bring Kieron Pollard to the crease who made the defending champions sweat hard for his wicket. The West Indies all-rounder scored a half-century and propelled his team to a fighting total. During his inning, Pollard did not spare any of the Qalandars’ bowlers including Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi. In fact, the Windies' all-rounder took them to the cleaners.
As Rauf came to bowl the 18th over, Pollard hit him for a boundary and a six. Pollard then took on Shaheen Afridi as he hit the left-arm pacer for three sixes in an over.

On the back of these bowling performances, Sultans bowled out Qalandars for 76 runs and stormed into the final.
