India took on Bangladesh in the second ODI of the three-match series on Wednesday (7 December). India’s captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first. His decision was proved right by Mohammed Siraj as the pacer dismissed Anamul Haque cheaply. India soon got another success as Siraj cleaned Litton Das up.

The Men in Blue piled up on Bangladesh's misery as Umran Malik drew the third blood, dismissing Najmul Shanto. Washington Sundar then struck thrice to reduce Bangladesh to 69/6. However, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mahmudullah were up to the rescue job as the duo stitched a century partnership for the seventh wicket.

Mehidy and Mahmudullah kept India devoid of a wicket for 27 overs while adding 140 runs. However, Shardul Thakur finally got the breakthrough as he got Mahmudullah caught behind. KL Rahul grabbed an absolute stunner. As the batter managed a faint outside edge on a climbing delivery outside the off-stump, Rahul leapt to his right and grabbed the ball with one hand.
