KKR is going to miss the services of their current captain Shreyas Iyer as he recently suffered a back injury that could keep him out of cricket for many months. We are still awaiting the decision of Kolkata’s management with regard to naming a new team captain and a replacement player to take the place of Shreyas Iyer.

In their last IPL campaign, Kolkata Knight Riders managed to finish 7th on the points table in a ten-team tournament with 6 wins and 8 losses in their fourteen stipulated league stage matches. KKR has hired a new coach Chandrakant Pandit for the 2023 season replacing the former coach Brendon McCullum who has taken over the reins of the England Men’s Test Cricket Team.

Kolkata Knight Riders squad for IPL 2023: Nitish Rana, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Venkatesh Iyer, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Shardul Thakur, Lockie Ferguson, Umesh Yadav, Tim Southee, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakravarthy, Anukul Roy, Rinku Singh, Narayan Jagadeesan, Vaibhav Arora, Suyash Sharma, David Wiese, Kulwant Khejroliya, Litton Das, Mandeep Singh, and Shakib Al Hasan.
