The oldest player in the NBA, LeBron James, continued surging high as he leveled his career-high nine made three-pointers during the win against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center on Sunday. On the historic night, LeBron scored 40 points and surpassed Michael Jordan to become the player with the most 30+ points game in NBA history. After his 40-point game on the road, the Brooklyn crowd gave a roaring standing ovation to the 39-year-old.

During the road game against the Nets, LeBron led the scoring with 40 points and made seven rebounds, and five assists while shooting  13/17 from the field and 90% from beyond the arc.

Apart from LeBron, Anthony Davis scored 24 points with 14 rebounds followed by Rui Hachimura, who scored 20 points with 10 rebounds and four assists. On the other hand, Nets guard Cam Thomas scored a team-high 30 points with six assists while no other Brooklyn player could score more than 15 points against the Lakers. On LeBron's vintage performance, the Barclays Center lauded the King James with a rousing standings ovation.

LeBron raps Kendrick Lamar’s verse from "Like That"

LeBron James has shown his keen interest in hip-hop and rap culture and his admiration for the music dates much longer than his NBA career. Ahead of the Lakers' road game against the Nets on Sunday, where LeBron delivered a historic performance, the all-time leading scorer in the NBA was spotted rapping Kendrick Lamar's verse from "Like That".

LeBron James' 40 points helped the Lakers beat the Nets 116-104 at the Barclays Center on Sunday. With this win, the Lakers improved their regular season record to 42-33 to continue at the ninth spot in the Western Conference standings.
