Los Angeles Lakers faced their fourth straight loss in the NBA 2022-23 regular season as Nikola Jokic's Denver Nuggets beat Lakers 110-99 in the Western Conference fixture. However, t he four-time NBA champion LeBron James continued his dominance on the court with his commanding gameplay against the Nuggets on Thursday.

The 37-year-old LeBron James  has entered his 20th season in the league and displayed tremendous game with a vintage touch, but couldn't help the Lakers to register their first victory of the campaign at the Ball Arena in Denver.

Both the teams started off with thrilling performances from their star players like the Nuggets fans enjoyed the combination between Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic while LeBron James and Anthony Davis combined on a number of occasions. However, a loss against Nuggets means the second all-time leading scorer has started the season 0-4 for the first time since his rookie year.

Nikola Jokic registered the best figures for the Nuggets as he managed 31 points, 13 rebounds, nine assists and four steals while LeBron James scored 19 points, made nine assists and seven rebounds, and Anthony Davis made 22 points, 14 rebounds and five assists.

Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope suffers ankle injury against Lakers

Denver Nuggets shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who played for Los Angeles Lakers during 2017 to 2021, suffered a gruesome ankle injury during his side's dominant victory over the Lakers. Pope played for 25 minutes before injuring his ankle and scored 13 points.

During a transition move, Kentavious turned his left ankle and managed to get the shot count. However, the guard was reduced to the bench after the injury. The 29-year-old traded to the Nuggets in the preseason window from Washington Wizards.
