The World Cup winner Lionel Messi made a blistering start to his Major League Soccer career as he scored an injury time winner on his Inter Miami debut on Friday. The Argentine scored a last-second winner in fourth minute of the stoppage time during the Leagues up match against Mexican club Cruz Azul. Messi won a free kick just outside the box and took his side to seal the match with the scoreline 2-1.
Talking more the goal, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner scored a free kick from above the 25 yards in the 94 th minute, sending the ball over a wall of four Cruz defenders to hit the upper left corner of the net. This match winner from the legend took the 21,000 people go wild as they celebrated this winner. Additionally in the Leagues Cup, group teams are awarded a point each for a draw and the winner of a penalty shootout gets an additional point and Messi made sure to secure all three for his new side.

Messi dedicates win to teammate Ian Fray
The Argentine dedicated his team’s win and his goal to teammate Ian Fray. It is to be noted that Fray was suffering from injury and sustained another during Miami’s game against Cruz.
“Let me dedicate this victory to Ian Fray who is suffering in the locker room from the injury he sustained. He comes from two serious injuries and today he has the bad luck to go through an injury again,” a fan translated Messi's statement after the triumph.
The David Beckham co-owned club Inter Miami will next play Atlanta United FC on July 26 in the League Cup.
