Luis Suarez helped his boyhood club Nacional win the Uruguayan championship as he scored twice in a 4-1 win over Uruguayan side Liverpool. Suarez at the age of 35-year-old returned to his boyhood club in the summer as a free agent after leaving Atletico Madrid.

The former Ajax and Barcelona striker scored twice, in the 50th and the 96th minutes, as Nacional won in extra time. After winning the game Suarez and his entire had a grand celebration as the players had a special photo shoot with the trophy on a throne-like chair.

This Liverpool is based in Montevideo and has its name from the English club because of the historical cultural links between the two areas. Suarez made his pro debut for Nacional at 18, in 2005. He then helped them win the Uruguayan league title to get a transfer to Dutch side Groningen the following season.

Suarez left FC Groningen, before moving to Ajax in 2007 where he won the Eredivisie. Then the striker went on to win five La Liga titles and a Champions League trophy at Barcelona whereas in England he won the League Cup at Liverpool and the Premier League Golden Boot in 2013-14. He is expected to leave Nacional in November when his short-term contract ends before the Qatar World Cup.
