He spoke about the experience of going back to Real Madrid, “This meeting has been fantastic for me. It’s been a long time since the last time I was here, almost a year, and I’ve missed my home.”

Marcelo remarked how Jude Bellingham is his son's hero before recognising the quality of the newest addition at Real Madrid. The Brazilian was quoted as saying, “He’s my son Liam’s hero and he wanted to have his picture taken with him. He’s looking very good. He’s had a great start. Everybody knows that at Real Madrid  there’s always room for improvement, but he’s had a tremendous start, almost unbeatable.”

The 35-year-old also revealed that he talked to Carlo Ancelotti before turning up for Fluminense’s Copa Libertadores win last year. He said, “I spoke to him before the Copa Libertadores final and said he was going to be supporting Fluminense. That’s why I wanted to give him the jersey I wore in the final because it was special for me and I know that all the Madrid fans were behind me.”
