Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen clinched his third title in a row to make it a trilogy of World Championships wins in Formula 1. The Dutch driver finished second with Oscar Piastri taking the top podium in the Qatar Grand Prix 2023 Sprint on S aturday, October 7.

Soon after the 26-year-old Dutchman piped seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton in the Sprint race, he stood firm to finish among the podium finishers to take his third title in a row. Soon after taking the F1 2023 World Championship title, Verstappen unveiled his unique helmet, which was way different from his normal race helmet.  

The Dutch driver unveiled his helmet, which was mainly black with some strips of gold. The helmet also had the 1 written with World Champion 2023 inscribed on it.

 

It is to be noted that the 26-year-old, who has so far won 13 of 16 races so far in the season, needed to finish sixth or above in the sprint to clinch the 2023 title, but aced it with a third-place finish. The Dutchman also registered record-breaking run of 10 consecutive wins, to confirm his domination and authority in the 2023 season of Formula 1.

With six final races still to go in the 2023 F1 calendar, Max Verstappen sits at the top with 407 points, followed by teammate Sergio Perez with 223 points. Lewis Hamilton (194), Fernando Alonso (175) and Carlos Sainz (153) complete the top five in the Drivers’ Standings.
