The new-look Inter Miami after the signing of Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez took on the El Salvador national team in their first preseason friendly this year on Friday night at the Estadio Cuscatlán in the Central American country. Despite the match ending in a goalless draw, the MLS side's star quartet of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba combined for a magical play in the first half reminiscing about their Barcelona days.

El Salvador displayed a fighting spirit as they held Inter Miami for a 0-0 draw in the hybrid-friendly clash. The Major League Soccer club registered better shot accuracy (50%), ball possession (67%), and pass accuracy (87%), however, the home side took more attempts on the goal (10) as compared to Inter Miami (6).
In the 35th minute, Inter Miami's star quarter Messi-Suarez-Busquets-Alba combined for a magical play which was blocked by goalkeeper Mario Martínez. The play started with Jordi Alba's cross to Luis Suarez, who deflected the ball outside the box towards Sergio Busquets. The Spanish midfielder combined with Lionel Messi with the Argentine captain taking the shot at the goal post, however, his strike was blocked by El Salvador's goalkeeper twice.

Inter Miami substituted their eight players including the former Barcelona stars at the start of the second half. The game ended without a single goal being scored. Following their hybrid-friendly clash against El Salvador, Inter Miami are scheduled to face their MLS rivals FC Dallas at the Cotton Bowl in a club friendly on Monday.
After they clash with Dallas, the MLS club will tour Asia from January 29 to February 7, where they will face Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal followed by the highly-anticipated clash against Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr. The team will face Hong Kong XI and Vissel Kobe in their final two friendly clashes in Asia.
