Mitchell Starc, the Australian left-arm fast bowler, produced a stunning delivery to dismiss Ben Stokes, the England all-rounder, on the first day of the fifth Ashes Test at The Oval. Starc made a huge impact with his pace and swing, as he ripped through Stokes' defense with a 90.4mph nip-backer that sent his off-stump cartwheeling.
The incident happened in the 39th over of England's first innings, when they were in some trouble at 194/4 and Starc, ran in from over the wicket and bowled a classic outswinger across Stokes, who was batting on 3. Stokes played the line and tried to play it legside but the ball just moved away and took the off stump with it.
The dismissal reminded fans of Starc's famous yorker to Stokes in the 2019 World Cup when he bowled him with a late-swinging full toss that also uprooted his off-stump. That delivery was hailed as one of the best in the tournament, and Starc's latest jaffa was equally impressive. Although the balls were of different nature they were equally unplayable and It was also a crucial breakthrough for Australia, as Stokes has been England's most influential player in the series.

It is worth noting that this was the ninth time that Starc had managed to get the better of Stokes in Test match cricket. England have tumbled a little after being 184 for four and have now lost three wickets within the span of 66 runs. They are now 250/ 7 with each bowler sharing wickets for the Australians while Harry Brooks was the only bright spark in the English batting who scored 85.
