On day two of the second Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) Test match, Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj gave a heated send off to centurion Travis Head after cleaning him up with the second new ball. When the Australian crowd at the Adelaide Oval realised the situation in the middle after giving the local boy a standing ovation for his hundred, they went on to boo Mohammed Siraj non-stop for the rest of their team’s first innings, which eventually finished on 337-run total, taking a lead of 157 runs.
Notably, the moment happened in the 82nd over of the Australian innings just a ball after Travis Head smashed Mohammed Siraj for a maximum towards the deep square leg region. The Indian fast bowler had a perfect response to the big shot, delivering a superb yorker, which went under the bat before crashing into the stumps, and following that, he had a few choice words for Travis Head, and the Australian batter didn’t respond in kind to him either prior to walking back to the pavilion.

Before being dismissed by Mohammed Siraj in the second session on day two, Travis Head brought up his eighth Test hundred and the second against India. The left-handed batter scored 140 runs in just 141 balls with 17 fours and four maximums, taking the attack to all the Indian bowlers through his stay at the crease, to put Australia in a commanding position after first five sessions in the second BGT Test match.
Apart from him, Marnus Labuschagne scored a Test fifty in quite some time, reaching 64 runs in 126 balls with nine fours before losing his concentration, which led to his downfall against Nitish Kumar Reddy. For India, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj picked up four wickets each in the Australian first innings, while Ravichandran Ashwin also delivered a good spell of bowling, getting the better of Mitchell Marsh.
