Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj lit up the Newlands by picking up a six-wicket haul against South Africa in the second Test. After losing the first Test by an inning and 32 runs, Team India roared back in Cape Town by bundling out the Proteas for 55 in 23.2 overs. The chief architect of the bowling masterclass was Siraj, who started the proceedings after dismissing Aiden Markram at a score of three in the fourth over.

Immediately in his next over, Siraj cleaned up the South African stand-in captain Dean Elgar at four. The Hyderabad native's next victim was opener Tony de Zorzi to complete his three-for. Coming back for his second spell, Mohammed Siraj picked up David Bedingham and Marcon Jansen in the 16th over to get his third five-wicket haul in Test cricket.

The 29-year-old wasn't done after his five wickets and dismissed South Africa's last recognisable batter, Kyle Verreynne in the 18th over. At the end of the first innings, Siraj ended with figures of 6-15 in nine overs at an economy of 1.70 with three maidens.

Alongside the Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer, Jasprit Bumrah and Mukesh Kumar also picked up two wickets to bundle out South Africa for 55, their lowest total against India. Bumrah gave away 25 runs in his eight overs while the South Africans failed to score a single run against Mukesh Kumar. Whereas India's four pacer, Prasidh Krishna failed to pick up a wicket in his four overs.
