The FIFA World Cup 2022 has its two finalists in Argentina and France. The Les Bleus enter their second consecutive final after defeating Morocco 2-0 in the semifinal at Lusail Stadium. However, the result did not go well with the Moroccan fans as they got involved in a clash with the police post the team's defeat.

Notably, Morocco supporters have been among the most vocal at the world tournament. Their voices were even louder during the semifinal clash. But what came after that was not how it would have happened. The Moroccan supporters and police engaged in some physical altercation in Brussels.

Near the Brussels South station, close to hundreds of Morocco supporters threw fireworks and other objects towards the police. The Police later had to fire water cannon and tear gas as the fans took to set trash bags and boxes on fire. Videos from these riots are now doing rounds on social media.

As per reports from several media, police also detained many fans and no major injury was reported in these clashes.

If reports are to be believed, in the clash among the France and Morocco fans in Montpellier, a boy was killed in a tragic accident. A statement issued by the local government office as quoted by several media outlets state that the boy was “violently hit” by a car in the city. However, he was referred to the hospital but passed away shortly on arrival.
