On Sunday, May 12, the highly anticipated trailer of Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, a movie based on cricket and romance got released online. The trailer for Mr. & Mrs. Mahi is an emotional rollercoaster of a couple, who are poles apart, chasing their dream of making it big in cricket.
The trailer begins with an animated conversation between the characters of Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor, who are about to get married. While Kapoor loves to read Jane Eyre, Emma, her husband-to-be, Rao, is into Facebook, social media, sales bills, and other things.
The sport of cricket is the only real connection between the couple, wherein Rajkummar Rao’s character is struggling to come to terms about not making it to Team India. When he finds out that Janhvi Kapoor’s character plays cricket, he tries to coach her, but it’s far from plain sailing.
Karan Johar, who is the producer of Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, shared the trailer of the movie on his official Instagram account, captioning it, “It’s MORE than just a story...it’s a journey of self-discovery, defying odds & hitting doubt out of the park when it comes to chasing YOUR dream with an imperfectly perfect partnership!”

Mr. & Mrs. Mahi is directed by Sharan Sharma, famed for his debut movie “Gunjan Saxena - The Kargil Girl” which was released in 2020. The Dharma Productions of Karan Johar is collaborating with Zee Studios on this movie, which will get a theatrical release on May 31 this year.
