The Indian domestic season has kicked off with the first rounds of Duleep Trophy 2024-25 being played in Bengaluru and Anantapur. While one of the matches, which was played between India D and India C at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur, saw the latter win the match by four wickets, meanwhile the match between India A and India B currently stands with the former needing more than 150 runs to win.
On the final day of the ongoing match between India A and India B at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy pulled off a stunning catch to dismiss Mayank Agarwal. However, Reddy might not have had a great outing with the bat, but the all-rounder took a blinder at second slip to dismiss Agarwal.

With India A needing 275 runs to win the match, India B received an early blow with Nitish Kumar Reddy completing a brilliant catch in the slips. The incident took place on the second delivery of the second over, which was bowled by Yash Dayal. The Indian left-arm fast medium bowler bowled a short of length delivery outside off with Mayank poking it away from the body. Nitish, who was stationed at second slip, outstretched his right hand and clutched to the ball to complete a clean catch mid-air.

Soon after this dismissal, the India A scorecard read 13/1 after two overs with captain, Shubman Gill (9) and Riyan Parag (1) in the middle in the pursuit of the 275-run target.
Ravichandran Ashwin schools Pakistani fan with savage reply after an attempt to mock Nitish Kumar Reddy
Star Indian all-rounder, Ravichandran Ashwin, who is known for his active social media presence, once again silenced his critics after fans attempted to mock Nitish Kumar Reddy during the Duleep Trophy 2024-25. Ashwin delivered a savage reply to a Pakistani fan, who mocked at Reddy.
Ashwin shared a video of Nitish Kumar Reddy bowling to KL Rahul during the opening game of the Duleep Trophy, expressing his admiration for the young all-rounder. Sharing the video, Ashwin captioned the post, “This “NKS” looks proper”. However, a Pakistani fan took to his post and replied, “An average fast bowler from Pakistan is better than him.”
This left the Indian all-rounder unfazed by the response. He was quick to reply with a famous dialogue “All is well” from the Bollywood movie, ‘3 Idiots’.
