With less than 40 days to go until the World Cup, excitement is rising amongst cricket fans across the world. The World Cup is arguably one of the most exciting and prestigious events of the sport. The fact that it takes place only once every four years adds to the excitement. Amidst all the anticipation, Pakistan has unveiled its official World Cup jersey.
The jersey was officially revealed via the official social media handle of the Pakistan Cricket Board. The board posted a video on Monday that showcased the brand-new jersey the Pakistani team will be sporting at the marquee event. The video showed the previous World Cup jerseys of the team, starting with the historic 1996 jersey, when Pakistan won their one and only ODI World Cup under Imran Khan.
The design of the jersey is unique, with a big star, covering the entire jersey. The kit has retained its traditional green colour and has also continued its association with Pepsi, which is visible on the sleeve. The partnership between Pepsi and Pakistan Cricket has come a long way now, lasting for more than two decades.
