Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was seen shouting at Erling Haaland during half time of the match against Burnley in a Premier League game on August 12, Saturday (IST). It happened despite the striker’s two goals against their rivals, taking them to a 3-0 victory against Burnley. After Haaland’s double before the half time, their third came by Rodri.
However, despite the Norwegian’s power-packed performance, the manager didn’t hold himself back and was seen shouting at the forward. Not only this, but amidst this, he pushed away an on-field camera also. The Catalan was seen marching towards Haaland with arms outstretched and was seemingly demanding more from the player.
Though what he said to Haaland wasn’t audible, Guardiola was clearly unhappy with the 23-year-old, and was seen shouting. On noticing that they had a camera over them, the 52-year-old slapped it and walked it away.

After the game, the Spaniard explained the discussion that revolved around Haaland's desire to run onto passes rather than receive the ball. Daily Mail quoted Guardiola as saying, "He wanted the ball in behind to him and that ball didn't have to be in behind. Sometimes you have to be patient to find the right moment. He was not frustrated; I am not frustrated. In football it happens. Don't be dramatic."
Meanwhile, the footballer didn’t seem to be bothered by what his manager said and didn’t respond to him on the field. Speaking of the game, the Premier League defending champions got their dream start in their title defence, courtesy, Haaland’s first goal in the opening four minutes.
