A pitch invader accidentally hurt Cristiano Ronaldo’s ankle while trying to take a selfie with him. Ronaldo, who leads Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr, was back on national duty as his side, Portugal locked horns with Bosnia and Herzegovina in their Euro 2024 qualifier on October 17, Tuesday (IST). Ronaldo scored two goals for his side in the first half as Portugal secured a 5-0 victory over their counterparts.

With his two goals on Monday night, Ronaldo became the top scorer in the world in 2023, scoring 40 goals so far across all competitions. The 38-year-old is followed by Manchester City and Norway striker Erling Haaland (39), and PSG and France forward Kylian Mbappe (35). Ronaldo has also achieved another milestone by scoring at least 100 goals in three different decades.

During the 39th minute of the match, a Ronaldo fan invaded the pitch by breaching the security and rushed to the football great. The invader was wearing an Al-Nassr jersey and tried to get a selfie with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. However, the invader couldn’t succeed in doing so as the security intervened just in time, and in all of this, the Ronaldo fan accidentally hurt the footballer.
