The FIFA World Cup 2022 has entered its final group stage fixtures as 12 teams have confirmed their Round of 16 fixtures while the teams from the Group G and H are remaining qualifications. On Thursday night, Germany faced their second consecutive group stage elimination and were mocked by the guests present at a Qatar TV show.
Germany players staged a protest against FIFA's ban on OneLove armband by covering their mouths ahead of their World Cup opener against Japan and stated, "Denying us the armband is the same as denying us a voice. We stand by our position."
After losing to Japan 2-1 in their opener, Germany played a 1-1 draw against Spain and defeated Costa Rica 4-2 in their final fixture, however, failed to qualify for the Round of 16 as Japan topped the Group E with six points followed by Spain with four points. Germany also managed four points, but got eliminated due to the goal difference.
As Germany got knocked out of the World Cup, a Qatar TV show mocked the four-time World Cup winners with the guests on the show covered their mouths and waved a goodbye at the camera.

Japan defeated Spain following a controversial goal from Japan's Ao Tanaka that led to Germany's elimination from the competition despite winning their final game. Although, Germany tied Spain with four points, Spain qualified on a better goal difference, thanks to their 7-0 win over Costa Rica in their World Cup opener.
After finishing the Group E on the first place, Japan are set to face the likes of the 2018 World Cup runners up, Croatia on Monday, December 5 at the Al Janoub Stadium while Spain will take on the likes of Group F toppers Morocco in the Round of 16 on Tuesday, December 6 at the Education City Stadium.
